Subtle Crime

Paint by numbers,
Pretty fiction.
Perfect blunders,
Contradiction.

All is lost,
Time to spare,
So cold the frost,
But I don't care.

A living corpse,
Drained the wrist.
I don't belong,
I just exist.

Life is fast,
But far too slow.
We live the past,
Don't wish to know.

Subtle changes,
People miss,
Mistaking ignorance,
For bliss.

Before they realise,
Their end is met.
And for their blindness,
They regret.

Feel cheated,
Want more time,
The cruel deception,
In the rhyme.

The devil's anger
Tastes sublime.
The fools they miss,
This subtle crime.
